Congratulations to the 2020 NJHS Spring Inductees! Postponed due to the pandemic, the NJHS induction emphasized St. Anne’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Eleven St. Anne students were recognized for their dedication to the five pillars of the NJHS. Parents were asked to place honor cords around their students, as well as place an honor society pin on their lapel to commemorate the accomplishment. In accordance with national standards set by NJHS, students will first qualify for an invitation through their demonstration of success in the area of scholarship and academic excellence. Students complete an information sheet to give examples of their accomplishments in the remaining areas of Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. In addition, students must submit a teacher recommendations letter.
The Society is led by Junior High Science Teacher, Francine Keusenkothen. This year, members will engage in socially distant service projects both on and off campus and continue leading in the Basilian tradition of Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge.
